The International Language and Training Institute (ILTI), a subsidiary of Yemen Information Center (YIC), concluded the training course for the Diploma in Basic Computer Skills on Thursday, September 19, 2024. The course saw participation from 10 students from Aden and Lahj governorates.

The workshop, which spanned seven weeks from August 4 to September 19, 2024, with a daily three-hour schedule, covered various technical skills related to computer software. These skills were taught according to modern international standards to meet the needs of the local and international technology job market. The course included knowledge of computer fundamentals, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, databases, internet use, network security, and concepts of digital and cyber security.

Course instructor Mr. Zaki Husain Ahmad emphasized that the course aimed to equip young people with modern computer skills that align with the requirements of the job market in scientific and technical fields. He stated that students would become capable of handling any technical issues related to the technology field.

It’s worth noting that this course aligns with the institute’s strategic goals of providing quality educational and training opportunities for young people. These opportunities encompass various training and qualification courses at all levels, adhering to the latest standards and meeting the needs of the job market across diverse professional and scientific specializations.
